Our distant ancestors were treated with the filling prepared according to this recipe. It was also good for the prevention of possible diseases.

Traditional Kalinovka

Previously, moonshine was used for its manufacture, now the viburnum liqueur is made with vodka or alcohol.


  • 2 kg of berries;
  • liter of alcohol;
  • 200 g of sugar.

Viburnum berries are best picked after several frosts. They will become sweeter, the bitterness will decrease, and the soft berry will give the juice more easily. We remove the collected berries from the combs, wipe them to clean them of dirt.

Advice! You cannot wash the berries - they contain natural yeast, which is responsible for the fermentation process.

Pour the berries a little, sprinkling them with sugar. They have to let the juice go. Let them wander for two days.

Attention! The contents of the jar must be stirred every 4 hours.

In the bottle in which the liqueur will be prepared, put the berries and fill them with alcohol or vodka, put it in a dark place.

Every 3 days, the liquid fraction must be poured into a separate bowl, where it must stand for a day. During this time, the berries in the bottle should be mixed a couple of times. After 24 hours, pour the liquid part of the liqueur back.

Advice! Shake the filling bottle daily.

It takes about one and a half months to infuse. Then you can strain the liqueur, or you may not, but it is very good to add berry syrup to it. It will become tastier and get a rich berry flavor. Now it can be used as a medicine or just a strong alcoholic drink.

Kalina liqueur

To get the finished product according to this recipe, you will need to be patient, because it will take a long time to insist on the guelder-rose filling - at least 4 months. But the best quality is obtained after seven months of infusion. The recipe does not have strict proportions. We do everything by eye.

We wash the berries and pour them into a 3 liter jar, not reaching the top by 1/3. The rest of the volume should be sugar. We pour alcohol - how much will be included. It is better if it is pure alcohol, but you can also use vodka.

Warning! Close the jar very tightly so that the alcohol does not evaporate.

You need to infuse the liqueur in the dark. When the ripening period of the drink is over, drain the liqueur, squeeze the berries there and add sugar syrup to taste.

Pouring from viburnum puree

The proportions for preparing the drink: 1 part of berry puree, the same amount of sugar and 2 times more alcohol. We sort the berries, remove them from the ridges, grind them using a meat grinder or blender, and then additionally rub them through a sieve. We spread the berry puree in an infusion container, add the same amount of sugar by weight and pour in 2 times more alcohol.

Advice! In order not to be mistaken, it is better to weigh the berry puree.

Infuse the liqueur in a dark and cool place for about a month. After this period, the pouring is filtered. If desired, the drink can be diluted with boiled water.

Viburnum liqueur with honey

In the following recipe, viburnum is combined with honey, which enhances its healing properties.

The proportions for the preparation of such a liqueur are extremely simple. You need to take equal amounts of honey, berries and alcohol. Pounded with honey, viburnum fruits must be kept for 24 hours. Then they should be poured with alcohol. Insist for a couple of weeks.

Viburnum liqueur is especially good for treating asthma and colds. It reduces the risk of seizures and prevents colds. If you suffer from hypertension, ulcers or gastritis, such a tincture can significantly alleviate the condition.

Pouring from viburnum with lemon and honey

Adding lemon zest to the liqueur will give it a citrusy flavor.

For 0.5 liters of vodka you will need:

  • berries - 300g;
  • honey or sugar - 150 g;
  • zest of one lemon;
  • water - a glass.

Press the prepared berries so that the juice forms. If you use sugar, you will have to cook syrup from it and water. Boil it for about 5 minutes, carefully removing the white foam.

When using honey, it is better to simply dilute it with boiled water, since heat treatment weakens its medicinal properties.

Mix the crushed berries and honey or sugar syrup. My lemon. With the smallest grater, carefully remove the yellow skin from it - the zest.

Warning! The inner white shell should not get into the liqueur, this can spoil the taste of the future drink.

Add the zest to the viburnum with sugar and add vodka. You need to insist the future liqueur in warm and dark.

Shake the tincture bottle daily to improve the taste of the drink.

After 2 weeks, it can be drained and sent in bottles for storage.

Pouring from viburnum with sea buckthorn

In the next recipe, two very useful berries met at once: sea buckthorn and viburnum. The addition of spices only enhances the healing effect. For this drink, both fresh and frozen and even dried berries are suitable.


  • dry viburnum berries - 1 cup, fresh or frozen - 2 cups;
  • sea ​​buckthorn - 1 glass;
  • 3 carnation buds;
  • a teaspoon of pink and black peppercorns;
  • 2 star anise stars;
  • honey or sugar - 100 g;
  • vodka or alcohol - 2.5 liters.

Grind the berries a little with sugar or honey. Let the mixture sit warm for 6-7 hours. We transfer to a bottle, add all the spices and pour in alcohol. It is best to use rubbing alcohol.

Attention! It is not recommended to replace pink and black pepper with allspice.

The infusion time depends on which berries were used: for fresh, one and a half months are enough, for dry ones, more than three are needed.

Shake the bottle a couple of times a day.

Every 3 days we drain the liquid part of the tincture and keep it for a day, the remaining berries must be mixed. After aging, pour the liquid back.


Viburnum filling is a strong and tasty natural drink. But its main action is curative. Usually it is taken in a tablespoon 2 times a day.
